What is The Proud Baron?
The Proud Baron is a brand creating jewellery and accessories inspired by baroque and rococo aesthetics, with a focus on inclusivity and pride. We craft timeless, luxurious items for the LGBTQ+ community, cosplayers, LARPers, and anyone who wishes to express themselves with style, glamour, and a touch of royal flair.
What makes The Proud Baron’s jewellery unique?
Each piece is handmade with care and inspired by historical elegance, infused with a modern message of pride and inclusivity. Whether you’re subtly expressing your identity or making a statement at a cosplay or LARP event, our pieces are designed to shine and tell a story.
Are these official medals or decorations?
How flattering! But no — these are symbolic, decorative medals, not official honours. They are designed to express identity, solidarity, or joy with a wink to history, not governmental approval.
Why are some items titled “King,” “Duke,” or “Enby Royal”?
The titles are playful and purely aesthetic — part of our whimsical world-building. You’re free to wear whichever title calls to you, regardless of gender identity or role. There are no rules at our court!
What do the flags mean?
Each flag holds meaning and history. You’ll find a full guide to our Pride flags on our flag page, so you can choose with both style and knowledge.
My flag isn’t listed. Will it be available in the future?
We’re working to expand our collection over time. If your flag isn’t yet included, feel free to message us. We welcome custom requests and may include it in future releases.
What if I just like the colours, even if I don’t identify with the flag?
It’s natural to be drawn to colors and aesthetics — but Pride flags are more than just palettes, they are symbols of community and history. If you feel connected, you are welcome to wear them, but we ask everyone to approach them with respect. For those who simply love the look, our rainbow editions are a perfect way to join the celebration while leaving the identity-specific flags to those who live them.
How can I support as a straight person?
In the world of The Proud Baron, all are welcome — as long as they arrive with respect and love. “Straight pride” isn’t necessary, because heterosexuality has never been criminalised or silenced. If you wish to support: wear a neutral ally piece, speak out against injustice, listen to queer voices, and celebrate with us as a trusted guest at the royal court. How can I contact The Proud Baron?
You can reach us by email: info@theproudbaron.com. We typically reply within 1–2 working days. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for updates and announcements!
Where are you based?
The Proud Baron is based around Mechelen, Belgium. If you would like to collect your order from me, send me an email and we can arrange collection in Mechelen, or at an event where I am selling my creations. You are welcome to collect if arranged before ordering.
Can I order a custom item?
Yes! We offer custom-made pieces and specific design adjustments. Email us at info@theproudbaron.com to share your ideas and we’ll work with you to create something unique.
How can I place an order?
Placing an order is easy! Browse our collection, select your favourite item (and your preferred variant, such as colour or size), and add it to your cart. Follow the checkout steps to enter your shipping and payment details.
How long will it take to ship my order?
Shipping times depend on the product you’ve ordered. In-stock items typically ship within 3–5 working days. Pre-orders take longer, and you’ll receive an estimated dispatch date when ordering.
Can I cancel or change my order?
You can request a cancellation within 8 hours of purchase. Please contact us as soon as possible at info@theproudbaron.com. Customised items cannot be cancelled or changed once production has started.
Can I return or exchange an item?
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery, provided items are unused, unworn, and in original condition. Customised items cannot be returned. Email us at info@theproudbaron.com for return instructions.
Shipping costs to return are for the customer.
What if my product arrives damaged?
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours via info@theproudbaron.com. We’ll offer a replacement or refund depending on the situation. Be sure to include photos of the damage so we can assist you swiftly.
What are the shipping costs? Do you ship internationally?
At the moment, we only ship within Belgium/Europe. Shipping options depend on your location and will be calculated at the check-out.
Note: Free replacement only with tracked shipping. Please make sure your shipping address is correct before placing your order.
If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, we’re happy to resend it once the new shipping cost has been covered. If you don’t want to risk your items not arriving and having no tracking information, please pay for the tracked shipping option.

Currently, we do not ship outside of Belgium/Europe due to customs regulations and higher costs. This may change in the future, and we’ll update our policy once worldwide shipping becomes available.

Can I meet The Proud Baron at events or fairs?
On occasion, the Baron appears in public — either in full regalia or charming disguise. We announce our presence at events via social media and on this Event-page. Follow us and come say hello at conventions or magical gatherings.
What materials are used for the jewellery?
We use high-quality materials such as stainless steel, gold-plated silver, gemstones, and luxurious fabrics to create durable and beautiful jewellery. Every material is chosen with attention to both aesthetic and practicality. All GPSR information can be found here.
